Sailor (and camp-cruiser) Mac MacDevitt is saying goodbye to his Seaclipper 16 Trimaran named LIMONADA. This boat is a beauty, with the additional benefit of having been built by its designer, John Marples.
All details about LIMONADA are linked to below, including the main salespage, which is located on Mac’s own website. Included are links to a write-up about this small tri at “Small Boats Monthly” and a video featuring Jim Brown doing a walk-around the boat at the end of its build. Anyone interested in this boat can contact Mac via the email address on the page at his website.
Mac Writes:
In 2015 John Marples worked with me to build a Custom Seaclipper 16 for Adventure Cruising. The boat exceeded all my expectations.
Now the boat is for sale. Shortly after the boat was finished my wife got a job in Chicago, and we had less time on Lake Champlain. Now I find that i’m just not as limber as I used to be, and it is time to let the SC 16 go to someone who can really adventure with it.
I’ve posted up all the details on my website: http://skyhighshelters.com/for-sale-2015-seaclipper-16/
There are links on the site that you might be interested on posting up just for fun.
When the boat was complete but still in John’s yard, Jim Brown did a video walk around with commentary on the design:

I brought the SC 16 and met John at the Wooden Boat show at Mystic Seaport.
