The PVC pipe outriggers look good as well as functional. Summer fun beckons with a kayak like this, under sail on a nice lake.

Built on 16′ tandem ocean kayak, I basically mimicked the $6k Hobie design. Has everything you need to sail upwind, outriggers, mast, rudder, leeboards, rigging, even a roll-up bimini top! I’ve zipped back and forth on Jocassee a few times, Hartwell a bunch, etc.
Perfect for the lakes, you can fish, camp, snorkel, and swim off of this thing. Great for long weekends with tons of storage room, more can be added if you decide to add trampolines (the framework is already there).
No title or tax/registration required by the state since it’s still technically a kayak. Serious buyers only please, cash only, no trades. I can show you how to put everything together in the yard, once bought I’ll be happy to meet you at one of the local lakes and show you the ropes on sailing if you would like.
