Found the following on Pintrest, which I am still new to, and still don’t really understand.
I am seeing some very cool boats “pinned” on Pintrest though.
That being said, when you read the following and think, “Hmmm, Joe is really, really confused by all the whole social media thing,” then allow me to admit right now you’re totally correct.
Lots and lots of stuff on social media I just don’t get.
I need to let you know this, however, because I may not quite have a proper understanding of the following thread of info, which I am attempting to share here.
Anyhow, here goes.
Someone on Pintrest (who is not the builder of the pedal boat they were showing on Pintrest) linked to a post on boatdesign.net …
The craft (on boatdesign.net) was similar (and apparently) posted by someone named Ian … you can see it here: https://www.boatdesign.net/threads/pedal-powered-boats.23345/page-106
This is the image of the boat that originally caught my attention on Pintrest (can be seen at: https://i.pinimg.com/564x/8b/0c/74/8b0c744c31e07658cadf591cfa5b4a57.jpg
And while I was looking for more info about these boats, I somehow discovered a YouTube video of a “pedal tri” that looked like Ian’s:
2 different boats, but same concept – pedal power on very small, narrow, lightweight trimaran platforms.
I’ve never seen these before. Are these a “thing” I’ve missed? If so, then please let me know.
Now, that’s that.
I know. I know.
All of this social media threading has you dizzy.
Right?
Me too.
It’s a different world than the one I grew up in.
That being said, there ARE a lot of neat-looking boats pictured on Pintrest.
